Much sought-after author, motivational speaker, and writing instructor, Sabiston has published books, essays, short stories, articles, fillers, and interviews. Most recently, Pat was extremely honored to receive recognition in the international 2015 WRITER’S DIGEST Writing Competition for her inspirational essay “The New Legend of the Sand Dollar.” In addition, her inspiring essay “When God Calls, It’s Never a Wrong Number,” appears in the TEARS to TRIUMPH: Tales of Transformation through Jesus Christ anthology, published by Beauty From Ashes Press.
Sabiston is an adjunct professor at Gulf Coast State College, where she teaches others how to write their life stories and capture them in memoir, autobiography, or other genres.
From May 1998 – May 2006, Pat was Executive Director of The Publishers Association of the South, a trade association of independent book publishers in the southeast United States. During her tenure, she did numerous articles on the book publishing for Small Press magazine.
Pat has recently completed her first novel and her children’s book was published in 2020.
